There are many things that you can do to increase open rates, click through rates, and improve your customer’s overall email experience. Check out these 5 tips for getting more from your emails.
Add personalization to your subject line. Including the recipient’s name to the subject line can increase open rates and make the email more personal.
Ask questions to engage your customer. You can include a question in your subject line, or within the body of your email. Engaging with your customer can help start a dialogue that will further the nurturing of the relationship.
Use dynamic content within emails to make the end user experience seem more personal. Dynamic content can go further than just inserting the recipients first and last name, it can include birthdays, geolocation, or information relevant to where the customer is in the sales funnel.
Use ALT text on all images. Make sure you’re using ALT text on your images because many email clients block images, and ALT text is used by screen readers for visually impaired people. Adding alt text lets recipients get an idea of what an image is in case they decide not to enable the images, or if the image fails to load, the ALT text will be displayed.
Design emails to be mobile friendly. More and more people are opening emails on their mobile devices rather than on their desktops. Mobile optimized images, larger fonts, and bigger call to action buttons can all help improve the mobile user experience.
